DIY Hand Soak: Sweet as Honey

Happy Monday, Babes!! I have recently been using this new home remedy to treat my dry hands and I was blown away about how well it actually works! My hands have been extremely dry lately and no amount of lotion was helping. The lotion was only covering up my dryness for a short bit of time, but not actually helping the situation. I've tried several different lotions and nothing seemed to work until I started using this DIY. All it takes is 3 simple ingredients you probably already have in your house: eggs, milk, and honey. Did you know that honey is a natural humectant, meaning it traps moisture from the air, into the layers of skin and keeps it there. It's the perfect ingredient for a lot of different beauty products because raw honey is full of antioxidants.

  1. 2 eggs yolk beaten

  2. 1/4 cup milk

  3. 1 tablespoon Raw Honey

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl (wide enough to fit your hands).

  2. Soak hands in the bowl (or zip-lock bag like I did) for approximately 12 minutes.

  3. Rinse hands, then pat dry.

That's it, you're done! Occasionally, I'll apply lotion after this process depending on how dry my hands have been. I do this process at least once a week, sometimes more if my hands are extremely dry. I hope this works as well for you guys as it has for me.

Much Love, Reba Faye
